Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of organizational business processes and requirements and how to effectively create workflows, procedures, processes and policies to support them
  • Experience in translating business requirements into IT policies and procedures
  • Experience in clinical trial environments and understanding their specialized workflows and compliance/security requirements
  • Experience with Business System Planning (BSP) processes, including developing business cases, functional specifications and system design specifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 Duties:

  • Conducting background research (literature reviews)
  • Develop proposals to be submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Write software manuals/guides
  • The production of training curriculums and presentations
  • Developing and editing study protocols, manuals of operations, forms, and research manuscripts
  • Develop technical user guides/manuals for a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product
  • Constructing & developing a training curriculum and presentations for internal and external personnel
  • Establish Business System Planning initiatives for any new projects & prioritize all projects
  • Establish working relationships with other departments
  • Identify/establish departmental training requirements
  • Identify training programs/resources to support a “Learning Culture”

Candidate Requirements:

  • You must possess excellent writing skills and demonstrate mastery of grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Candidate should have a B.A. or M.A. in English, Business Administration or related field
  • Detailed knowledge about clinical studies and measurements 
  • Experience in writing research protocols, grant and contract submissions for clinical trials, software user manuals/guides and training materials are desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent skills in preparing oral and written presentations
  • Knowledge of a broad range of sources of pertinent information; skill to analyze and present the information gathered; and knowledge of publishing practices, standards, and technologies for the media used
  • Individual should be ambitious and versatile
  • The ability to concentrate and work effectively under pressure & tight deadlines is essential
  • Computer skills should include WordPerfect (or MS Word), Excel and Outlook
  • Must be able to express ideas logically, clearly and concisely and provide guidance and encouragement to others in a tactful way
  • Creativity, curiosity and an expanding breadth of knowledge are other attributes that are desired
