Biorepository Management
C-TASC has been entrusted with managing numerous high-profile biorepositories, including the Lung Tissue Research Consortium and the Women and Infants Transmission Study. These NIH-sponsored projects require precise management of inventory, storage and dissemination of data as well as advanced tracking of specimens and procedure-based images.
Our Biorepository Management System (BRMS) facilitates the entire process of concept sheet submission, document collection, scientific review, inventory analysis and specimen dissemination. Via a public Web site, investigators can query the availability of specimen for a specific study population; the tool includes several pre-built SAS analysis procedures.

Investigators may also review a random sample of microscope-quality images of tissues or scans from the desired study population (launch a query on the LTRC repository here).
The BRMS is fully integrated with our Clinical Trial Management System (StudyCTMS), thereby allowing advanced statistical analysis in real time. Using this technology, we have successfully implemented an Express Application process that can provide investigators specimen within 30 days of request submission.
