Baltimore, MD - January 24, 2011 - Clinical Trials & Surveys Corp. (C-TASC), a clinical trials solutions company, announced today it has hired Michael Rippin, Ph.D. as Chief Information Officer.  As CIO, Dr. Michael Rippin will be the head of information technology within C-TASC as well as oversee the development of the company’s clinical trial software products.

 Dr. Michael Rippin previously served as the Director of Software Engineering for the Commercial Healthcare Division at a Fortune 100 Company, where he oversaw the full development life cycle for a portfolio of software applications/products in both the Medical Management and Fraud Waste and Abuse sectors. He possesses a Doctorate in Information Technology Management, a Master of Science degree in Information Technology, a Graduate Degree Certification in Database Management Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology.  Dr. Rippin’s experience spans both the public and private sectors.

 Dr. Rippin has spent 15 years working as a solution driven and customer centric professional and has extensive experience in the areas of information technology, leadership, decision-making, Agile software development, program management, operations research, decision systems support, strategy development, resource allocation and utilization, knowledge management, and continuous improvement.

 Dr. Rippin has architected, managed, and delivered stand-alone and enterprise-wide applications for commercial organizations with annual revenue that ranges between $20 million and over $10 billion
