The study goal is to recruit a large cohort of individuals at high risk for smoking-related cancers, and facilitate the clinical validation and application of biomarkers through their own investigations and through participation in multi-institutional EDRN studies.  Since 2001 1,200 individuals have been enrolled and an additional 1,450 individuals will be enrolled and followed prospectively.  This study received approval for continuation from the NYU Medical School IRB on November 14, 2008. C-TASC’s role in this study is leasing their StudyCTMS software along with providing support for form creation, data conversion, data abstraction, and statistical consulting services.
